KURVE

KURVE, Insite’s in-house solution, is the UK’s first-to-market digital smart metering and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) web-app for heat networks. KURVE was developed as a joint venture partnership with SAV Systems to deliver an affordable yet high-quality PAYG solution to the industry.

KURVE makes energy data easily accessible to consumers, encouraging engagement with and awareness of their energy consumption. For developers, heat suppliers and consumers, KURVE offers a modern, low-cost PAYG solution with significant reductions to capital (CapEx), operational (OpEx), and replacement (RepEx) expenditures. KURVE can support the metering and billing of both heating and cooling units.

On the go

The KURVE web-app is accessible to residents whenever and wherever they are, making it easy for them to manage and monitor their energy account. All that is required is internet access and away they go.

View your data

Consumers can view their energy consumption in both kWh and £ across the day, week, month, and year. This encourages conscientious energy usage and a greater understanding of their energy consumption.


Simple set-up

Simple set-up linked to a consumer’s email. Customers can view their account balance, consumption, and tariffs. An easy to understand traffic light display shows their latest account balance, helping consumers stay in credit.

Consumers can top-up their account through a variety of methods, 24/7/365. The easiest way is via card payments using the KURVE web-app. Payments can also be made at any PayPoint outlet, over the phone securely 24/7 or by setting up an automatic top-up.

Flexible solution

KURVE offers a range of set-up solutions to ensure each customer to tailored to appropriately. This is great for ensuring vulnerable customers are catered for. KURVE's flexible set-up covers: KURVE PAYG, KURVE credit-as-you-go (CAY-G) or KURVE-branded credit billing

How it works - Installer and M&E considerations


  • Wired M-bus solution allowing for open protocol solution with manual thermal disconnection back-up
  • SAV Systems HIU (7 Series) and Kamstrup 403 or 603 heat meter required with Smart M-bus technology pre-wired in ready for install. 
  • No additional PAYG equipment (in-home display) in the property – significantly reduces CapEx and RepEx.
